The Sharp Aquos LC37XL8E is a 37 inch 100Hz Full HD Slimline LCD TV. The 37" 100HZ LC37XL8E is one of two new super-slim HD Ready 1080p LCD TVs using 100Hz technology. The Aquos XL8E range includes the 32" LC32XL8E and 37" LC37XL8E. Both of these boast 100Hz technology that produce smooth images with impressive detail and clarity in fast moving scenes like action movies and sports broadcasts.

The LC37XL8E contains a host of features you come to expect from Sharp. These include a 1920 x 1080 pixel flat panel screen, 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a 6m/s a response time and a built-in freeview digital tuner which provides over 40 free-to-air digital TV channels, radio stations and interactive services all combined to deliver the very latest in home entertainment technology.

Audio on the LC37XL8E uses the 2-way, 4 speaker system with 10 Watt + 10 Watt output and the SRS TruSurroundXT technology fitted to provide a crystal clear surround sound effect.

Connectivity on the 37 inch Aquos LC37XL8E include 3 x HDMI inputs, 2 Scart sockets, Component Video Input (Y/Pb(Cb)/Pr(Cr)), S-Video/Composite Video/Audio Input, PC 15pin D, RS232C, Audio (RCA) and Digital Audio (Optical).

Other features include a Clear voice function that reproduces human voices naturally, a 176 degree viewing angle meaning that high contrast images can be enjoyed from almost any seating position, a card slot, sleep timer and freeze function. There's also an energy saving feature known as Optical Picture Control (OPC) which uses a light sensor on the LCD TV which automatically adjusts the backlight lighting to the surrounding lighting and as a result helps to save electricity.
